Overview

Jump Logs ("we", "us", "our") is operated by an individual developer based in Australia. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what we collect and why. This policy applies to the Jump Logs mobile app and website (jumplogs.com). By using the service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service: Account information: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash). Optionally, your skydiving licence number and rating. Logbook data: Jump records you create — including date, dropzone, aircraft, altitude, freefall time, gear, disciplines, notes, and any other fields you choose to fill in. Equipment & certification records: Gear details, repack dates, certification records, and medical information you enter. Server logs: Standard web server access logs (IP address, timestamp, HTTP method, response code) retained for security and debugging. These are not linked to your personal account data and are not used for product analytics. Push notification token: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to send you reminders (e.g. currency expiry, repack due). You can disable notifications at any time. Payment information: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive a payment confirmation and subscription status from Stripe.

How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to: • Operate your logbook and compute statistics (jump counts, freefall time, currency windows, equipment intervals) • Send you reminders and notifications you have opted into • Process your subscription payments via Stripe • Provide customer support when you contact us • Investigate security incidents or terms violations We do not use your data for advertising. We do not build profiles for sale. We do not use your jump or equipment data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

These platforms may collect standard device and analytics data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your personal information or logbook data with any party not listed above. Overseas disclosure: Supabase, Stripe, and Resend are based outside Australia (primarily United States infrastructure). Before disclosing your personal information to these recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Each of these providers maintains their own privacy and security certifications (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001) and contractual data processing obligations.

If you delete your account, your personal data and logbook records are permanently deleted within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain records.
